📚🎉 Our October/November Reading Challenge has come to an exciting close, and wow, did our students rise to the occasion! 🌟🍕 Congratulations to all our classes for diving into the world of books and AR points. 🏆 The standings are finally in: 🥉 3rd grade winner, Ms. Bishop's Class with an impressive 106.5 AR points! Way to go! 🥈 Mrs. Chalker's 4th-grade class soared ahead with a fantastic 178 points! Excellent job, everyone! 🥇 With an outstanding 350 AR points, Mrs. Lorimor's 5th-grade class! You've truly set the bar high! This challenge encouraged our students to explore diverse reads within their level, but it also held some surprises! 🎊 Native American books tripled the points earned, while math-themed books doubled the points—talk about strategy and adventure in reading! The dedication and effort put into this challenge were truly commendable. 🌟 Let's Celebrate Ms. June! 🌟 Meet one of the most cheerful and incredible ladies you'll ever have the privilege to know, Ms. June! 🌞 Her love for her job and the children she serves shines through bright and clear, making her a true inspiration to us all. June has a special connection with our beloved peninsula, having called it her home since birth. She even attended OPE for her kindergarten and first-grade years before her adventures led her to Long Beach. Since 1999, she's been a dedicated part of the OPE family, serving up not only delicious meals but also plenty of love. ❤️ When she's not spreading joy at school, June loves to immerse herself in the world of words. She's an avid writer, reader, and spends precious moments with her adorable granddaughter. 📚👧 What's truly remarkable is her passion for writing – she's written several beautiful poems and is currently working on a book that shares her journey growing up in a small town. 📝📖 But perhaps what's most incredible is June's life goal: to be an inspiration and bring a smile to the face of a child every single day.
