Free Youth Summer Pickleball Camp!

The American Heart Association has a community walk event coming up on Saturday, June 3rd. See the attached letter and flyer for more details.

This is just a friendly reminder that we begin our state testing tomorrow. Your student/s have worked very hard this year challenging their brains and working towards their individual goals. We want them to find satisfaction in their hard work with scores that reflect all of their efforts. Please help them by making sure they get a good nights’s rest, bring their Chromebooks charged, water bottles full and arrive on time. FOOPS has graciously provided testing snacks so a special thank you goes out to them! Our test schedule will take place over the next two weeks from about 8am-10am (ending on May 26th) Our afternoons are designed to be less mentally demanding and include enrichment learning opportunities to give their brains a break. Our Wednesdays for the next two weeks will be used for makeups due to absences but will also be used for students who would like longer to complete their test. If you have doctor’s appointment or other appointments to schedule, afternoons are best and appreciated, if at all possible. We know this is not always doable but it certainly helps us out here at school.
Anyway, summer is just around the corner and we have a lot of great field trips coming up, along with our final Piper Day activities, assembly, a talent show, field day and our staff vs. 5th grade basketball game. We are SO proud of our students and we appreciate your support as we work hard to play hard in this final month. I’ll be sending a newsletter home soon with all of these upcoming dates for this final stretch.
