🌙✨ What an incredible experience! Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to watch Songs of the Moon: Fantastical Folktales from Asia, a stunning production by the 5th Ave Theatre out of Seattle. This beautifully written play by Maggie Lee & Annastasia L. Workman brought to life the magic of storytelling, weaving together folktales from Korea, Vietnam, and China. Through Sun and Moon, The Jade Rabbit, and The Moon Lady, students were transported into a world of tradition, imagination, and cultural connection. Not only was the performance visually captivating and musically enchanting, but it also highlighted the power of oral storytelling in bridging generations and fostering social-emotional growth. 🚨 Ocean Park Elementary Update 🚨 Thank you for your patience as we prepare the school to reopen! We plan to have school as usual tomorrow, Tuesday, March 25. Today, staff were busy moving classrooms and making final preparations to welcome students back. Please note that the HVAC system will not be operational. Common areas may be chilly, so please have students dress in layers and bring warm coats. We also understand that returning may bring up emotions for some students. Our staff and our community partners at Community Intergraded Health and Willapa Behavioral Health & Wellness will be available to support anyone who needs it.
