🌍 Great ShakeOut Drill Success! 🌊 Our entire school participated in the Great ShakeOut drill today, practicing how to drop, cover, and hold on! 🛡️ We’re so proud of everyone for their focus and teamwork. A special shoutout to our two classes who went the extra mile / .80 mile with a Tsunami walk, safely exiting the building and reaching higher ground in under 20 minutes! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🏞️ Drills like these are essential in keeping our school community prepared and safe. 🌊 Get Ready for the Great ShakeOut! 🌊 We’ll participate in Ocean Park Elementary's Great ShakeOut earthquake drill this Thursday! It's a great opportunity for students and staff to practice safety and preparedness in case of an earthquake. 🏫💪 After the drill, three classes will participate in the Tsunami Walk (weather permitting—fingers crossed for no rain! 🌧️☂️). The other classes will take the "Tsunami walk" around Sheldon Field. This is critical to our community's safety efforts, which ensure everyone knows the safe routes to higher ground. *Community Partner Post* 4th - 6th grade basketball is NOW OPEN. Our league has a quick turnaround this year for registration - it closes on October 5th! This year, the breakdown for Basketball is 4th-6th will play in November and December, 3rd grade will play in January/February, and K-2 will do skill building in February/March. Registration for K-3rd will open later this month, along with Wrestling registration.
