I am an Extension Professor at Washington State University.  I conduct research and extension work on cranberries, shellfish, invasive species and natural resource issues.  I have lived on the peninsula with my wife Andrea and three children since 1990.  My kids have attended every school in the district.  My two oldest have recently graduated from WSU.  I first served on the Ocean Beach School Board in 1996, and have been on my third straight term since 1999.  I have been board chair for several terms.  I strongly believe that the public education is the fabric of a healthy and sustainable community, and I am committed to helping our district provide a safe learning environment and achieve high academic standards.
